Pete Knight was one of rodeo's first international superstars. A Canadian champion bronc rider who also won championships in the United States through the 1920s & '30s, as well as fans in Australia and Europe. His earnings in the rodeo arena rivaled that of top business executives of his day, as well as professional atheletes. Happily married and with a newborn baby girl, his life was tragically cut short in the rodeo arena. Rumors and myths abound about this bronc-riding legend of a man, and as time goes by the stories have evolved to the point where it can be hard to tell truth from fiction. Some say Pete Knight's last ride was on his greatest nemesis, a horse called Midnight...
Darrell Knight is the great-nephew of legendary bronc rider, Pete Knight, as well as a founding member of Canada's Rodeo Hall of Fame and Historical Association, established in 1981.
