“Turning High Tides into Green Energy:

The Potential Tidal Power in the Bay of Fundy”

Guest Speaker: Richard Karsten

This talk discusses the potential power from the Minas Passage and the effect on the surrounding tides. A test location for the turbines has been chosen and installation is expected soon. Where would the hundreds of turbines be installed? How will they change the local environment? Is there a better way to get power from the tides? The talk concludes with some initial research into these questions.
